High School Welcome
The High School is a wonderful place to learn, to lead and to grow. It is a place where potential can be both recognised and realised, where skills can be honed, initiative rewarded and possibility explored. Small enough to nurture individuals through their academic and adolescent journeys, it is sufficiently large to provide a bouquet of experiences, one that is unique to St Cyprian’s School. A sense of belonging is inculcated by means of a structural framework that includes a Class Tutor System, a House System and a system of Student Mentorship.
The academic programme is designed to engage students proactively in their own unique learning journeys. Its purpose is to develop critical and creative thinkers, who can apply what they have learnt to solve problems or create new knowledge. It is an approach that elicits academic discipline and cultivates academic resilience, one which develops a sense of agency and a sense of academic self.
The co-curricular offer is wide and varied and covers a range that includes sport, cultural activities, and various clubs and societies, including those specific to the Round Square philosophy. The underpinning ethos is that it is through experience that we learn and through opportunity that we identify our passions. In addition, the High School focuses strongly on identifying and developing leadership skills, through which our girls will be able to take up their places in the world as confident, competent and caring women of tomorrow.
